The 2013 fair will a feature a two-day display of exotic and farm animals from all over the world, the University of Minnesota Raptor Center, the premier of the new Murray County Fair History Book, sheep sheering demonstrations, and chuck wagon cooking demonstration. We will also bring back the popular strong farmer contest, free entertainment in the beer garden, the rib cook-off contest and the 5K Run/Walk which this year will raise money for school supplies for the local schools.
This year we are bringing to you more free musical entertainment as we host the “Diva through the Decades”, local star Kayla Daniels, the musical talent of “Boots and Britches”, local band “Star Fire”, and the music of Johnny Cash by Sean Benz just to name a few.
For the kids, in addition to the new exotic animals and raptor center, we will have free face painting, butter making, rope making, the kiddie tractor pull and other crafts and demonstrations for them to learn and have fun.
The Murray County Fair brings families together; it’s a great place for old friends to reminisce and create new memories and most importantly, enjoy the fair.
